For this IF Talks, uncluttered white spaces have teamed up with IndieGoGo to bring you an up close and personal IF Talks with IndieGoGo's, Adam Chapnick, who is joining our panel from New York City.
This talk will be held in Surry Hills and will be a free event. Tickets are limited so be fast.
The Talk will focus on Funding Creativity (delving into innovation, startups, marketing and strategy) and brings together some of Australia's most innovative thinkers including Pip Jamieson and Matt Fayle form the Loop, Johannes Weissenbaeck, co-founder and ceo for PLAY Communications in Sydney and Dan Solo, co-founder and ceo for Nerdi, an EdTech startup based out of NYC and Bondi Beach.
This talk is for anyone who has ever wanted to create something, and find a way to fund it.
This intimate panel will discuss the power and importance of collaboration and look at the challenges of bringing a creative visions to life and developing concepts and discipline to make ideas happen.
ADAM CHAPNICK | VICE PRESIDENT | INDIGOGO
Adam Chapnick is IndieGoGo's business development mastermind, a global visionary who will stop at nothing to bring IndieGoGo's funding platform to anyone, anywhere in the world.
Prior to IndieGoGo, Adam founded Distribber.com, where he still serves as CEO.
Adam speaks regularly on cutting edge distribution strategies at markets, festivals and other film-centric places like Sundance, South By Southwest, Digital Hollywood, IDFA, and The Apple Store. Adam also proudly serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the International Documentary Association and was recently named one of “19 Brave Thinkers in Independent Film” by uber-producer Ted Hope’s Truly Free Film blog.
And, if that's not exciting enough, Adam hit a solo home run to win the championship game for his little league team when he was 12; an achievement he has noticed is more impressive and
meaningful to him than to others.
PIP JAMIESON | FOUNDER | THE LOOP
Bio: "Pip Jamieson is co-founder of creative community The Loop (www.theloop.com.au), Australia’s leading networking site for creative professionals. A Sydney based Londoner with a distinctive marmite laugh (you either love it or hate it) Pip started her career working on the BRIT Awards before moving to MTV where she spent six glorious years working in a number of roles around the world. In 2009 she launched The Loop with her great friend Matt Fayle! The rest, as they say, is history!"
MATT FAYLE | FOUNDER | THE LOOP
Bio: Matt Fayle is a true Digital Media Pioneer, having worked around the globe in online, mobile and broadcast applications for over 12 years. Matt led digital teams to roll out 14 multi language websites across Europe while at Discovery Channel UK, produced Sky News online, project managed ITV applications for major UK brands while at BSkyB, and developed the BBC Family History website and an ITV application for the global TV series ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’
Returning to Australia in 2004, Matt produced Disney’s online websites including Disney.com.au. Prior to Co-founding The Loop, Matt’s role as Director of Digital Media for MTV Networks (AU/NZ) saw him launch over 30 interactive, broadband and community platforms and secure content distribution deals with all Australian Telco’s, ninemsn, and iTunes during his four and a half years with the company.
JOHANNES WEISSENBAECK | CEO | PLAY
After working for Fitch Worldwide and a few other communication agencies across Europe and Australia, I co-founded PLAY Communication, a specialist brand experience agency based in Sydney, Australia.
My background is marketing, branding and strategic planning. Throughout my career, I have tried to pioneer and apply experiential thinking across retail, brand communication and event based marketing, helping brands to establish a meaningful dialogue with consumers, trade and internal audiences.
I have shared my experience and views at many conferences and forums including the Asia Pacific Experiential Marketing Summits, the Australian Marketing Institute Conference, DesignX, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week as well as many universities in Australia, Europe and the Middle East.
We have managed to build a progressive, multiple award winning communications agency constantly evolving our expertise alongside diverse clients such as MINI, Jaguar, the Sydney Opera House, Adobe Systems, the City of Sydney, Telstra, Vodafone, Volkswagen, Optus, Samsung, Tourism Victoria, Tourism New Zealand, Kimberley-Clark, Diego and Kellogg's.

Dan Solo likes short bio’s, he is the ceo and co-founder for NERDI, an EdTech Startup based in NYC and Sydney’s own Bondi Beach. A passionate and innovative thinker, Dan is an active Surfer, Skater, Father Husband and Entrepreneur. Ben is the ceo of 6.2, an innovation lab based in Melbourne & Sydney with clients in Australia, New York, Hong Kong and Brazil.
